About Ellentika

Ellen is an AHPRA registered Psychologist and is in the Clinical Psychology Registrar program. She completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology degree at The University of Melbourne. Ellen has experience working with adolescents through to older adults struggling with various mental health issues – depression, anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, grief and losses, trauma, substance use, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, self-esteem issues, and body image issues. She also has experience in involving family members and caregivers in some of her therapeutic work with younger clients. Her therapeutic style is a warm and compassionate one, which aims to create a safe and non-judgemental space for her clients.

Ellen’s therapeutic approach is strength-based and draws from various evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. Ellen aims to adapt these approaches to suit the needs of her clients and to build on her clients’ strengths.
