Dr Gavin Ivey

Gavin is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist and registered clinical supervisor, with more than 25 years’ experience as a psychotherapist in South Africa and Australia. He has a clinical psychology Master’s degree and a PhD and is the Director of Postgraduate Professional Psychology Programs at Victoria University, where he is responsible for training clinical psychologists.

Gavin works with adult clients suffering from depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, and experiences of grief and loss. He also has a special interest in men’s psychological difficulties. Gavin’s therapeutic approach has an interpersonal and psychodynamic emphasis, helping clients gain deeper self-insight, self-acceptance, and resolve obstacles to emotional growth.
