Counsellor Consultations

1- hour weekly or fortnightly consultations (short and long-term)

Rowenna specialises in a type of counselling and psychotherapy that:

  • Recognises that it is ultimately improbable for any individual to escape experiencing some form of hardship, solitude, sickness, loss, or sense of purposelessness during their lifetime.
  • Offers relational therapy that supplies understanding, empathy, and assistance during challenging times. This therapy supports your individual journey as you delve into self-discovery, recovery, and personal development.
  • Participates in a cooperative process of investigation and discovery (subtly led by the counsellor) that involves taking into account a comprehensive understanding of your life so far – including your social and cultural upbringing, environment, circumstances, relationships, available resources, and abilities.
  • Assists you in enhancing self-understanding obtained from being mindful of your current experiences and interactions with others.
  • Enables you to cultivate the ability to induce transformations in your own self and life by comprehending and being aware.
  • Examines how your previous experiences and future aspirations might shape or impact your current experience.
  • Finally, counselling helps you transition from restrictive habits of reacting and interacting, empowering you to respond to your life situations in inventive ways and with a feeling of deliberate choice.

Nutritional Medicine

Minimum of four fortnightly 1-hour consultations to provide comprehensive treatment

In addition to other considerations (such as the necessary evaluations, screenings and examinations) you may need dietary guidelines and/or nutritional supplementation to:

  • Avoid or lessen the intake of food that contributes to inflammatory factors affecting the brain, neurotoxicity, hormonal imbalances, and problems producing neurotransmitters (such as serotonin).
  • Address any nutritional shortfalls with appropriate amounts of minerals and vitamins that aid the nervous system and/or help manage stress.
  • Deliver essential nutrients to promote the production of neurotransmitters, remedy mood irregularities, and manage the consequences of both immediate and sustained mental and emotional stress and trauma.
  • Assist in regulating blood sugar levels to avoid inconsistent energy, inflammation, and to alleviate anxiety and other nervous system disorders.
  • Focus on consuming and properly absorbing vital nutrients, while enhancing gut health to boost and optimise the production of neurotransmitters.
  • Finally, nutritional medicine can boost energy production, thereby enhancing mental and emotional strength or adaptability. It also aids in supporting the nervous system and responding to and adapting to stress.
