Lisa Catania is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with expertise working with adolescents and adults presenting with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, communication difficulties, anger management, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, and substance use problems.
Lisa is skilled in a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness strategies. Lisa is also a board-approved supervisor.
Lisa works to build a collaborative partnership with clients. Clients play an active role in determining the best treatment approach for them. Session by session monitoring is conducted to track progress. Following sessions, written information is shared to assist clients to apply strategies to their day to day lives. Lisa strives to empower clients to gain insight into their strengths and difficulties, and to make changes in their lives.
