About Moira

Dr Moira Junge has accepted the full time role of CEO of the Sleep Health Foundation. She is unavailable for appointments until further notice but remains a clinic director.

Moira is a registered Health Psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She holds membership within the College of Health Psychology. She has been in the healthcare field for over 25 years and is passionate about improving well-being. She is one of the clinic directors at Yarraville Health Group which she co-founded in 1998.

Her areas of expertise include management of sleep disorders, depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol issues, psychological management of chronic diseases, reaction and adjustment to illness/injury, and loss and grief issues. Moira utilises Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), CBT-I (CBT for insomnia), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques. She also has been trained in hypnosis and uses this often alongside the other modalities outlined above. Her main purpose is to help people who are experiencing emotional difficulties to be empowered and supported to transform their lives.

Moira co-hosts a podcast called SleepTalk-Talking All Things Sleep which was established in 2015. She joined the board of the Sleep Health Foundation in 2016 where she currently chairs the Marketing and Communications committee. In addition to offering individual services face-to-face and online, Moira is also a board-approved supervisor and can offer supervision to other psychologists. She is also a consultant to organisations about the importance of mental health in the workplace, including the importance of sleep and screening for sleep disorders.

Moira is a member of healthylife’s health advisory board.
